The All-New 2025 MT-07: Minimalist Design, Maximum Performance

KEY HIGHLIGHTS

2025 Model Updates

Sleek, Stripped-Down Styling

For 2025, the MT-07 debuts a refreshed, minimalist design centered around a compact LED headlight that gives the bike a bold, modern look. Inspired by the futuristic style cues of Japan’s “Dark Side,” the new design enhances the rider-machine connection without unnecessary frills—pure performance meets clean aesthetics.

Advanced Ride Technology: YCC-T, YRC Modes & Traction Control

An upgraded Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle (YCC-T) system delivers smoother power for a more responsive ride. Riders can now access Yamaha Ride Control (YRC), offering three throttle modes (SPORT, STREET, and a customizable setting) plus selectable Traction Control, making it easy to tailor the bike’s behavior to different riding conditions.

Enhanced Engine Sound Experience

The MT-07 now features sound-enhancing tech that channels the bike’s induction noise directly toward the rider, amplifying the unique growl of the CP2 engine and heightening the sense of acceleration.

Refined Assist & Slipper Clutch

The newly redesigned Assist & Slipper clutch reduces effort at the lever while smoothing out aggressive downshifts, improving control and reducing fatigue during longer rides. An updated clutch lever design further improves tactile feedback.

Upgraded KYB Suspension

The 2025 model comes equipped with an inverted 41mm KYB front fork and a matched rear shock for sharper handling and improved front-end feedback. These upgrades provide a more confident, sport-tuned riding experience.

Radial-Mount Brake System

New 4-piston radial-mount front calipers clamp down on dual front discs, delivering more consistent and powerful braking. Improved caliper rigidity means better braking control during aggressive stops.

Lightweight Spin Forged Wheels

New wheels built using Yamaha’s proprietary SpinForged process reduce unsprung weight for quicker handling and improved efficiency—without sacrificing strength or durability.

Full-Colour TFT Display with Smartphone Integration

A new 5-inch TFT screen offers four display themes and modern connectivity. Riders can sync their smartphones to receive calls, texts, and music (Bluetooth headset required) and access turn-by-turn GPS directions using the Garmin Street Cross app.

Updated Controls & Indicators

Revamped handlebar switches allow easy access to display functions, YRC modes, and connectivity features. The indicators now offer both manual and automatic canceling options, flashing three times with a quick tap or self-canceling after a preset time and distance.

More Engaged Ergonomics

Wider aluminum handlebars, moved slightly closer and lower, work in harmony with a narrower tank and seat to deliver a more aggressive riding posture. This revised layout improves comfort, ground reach, and rider feedback.

PERFORMANCE HIGHLIGHTS

Proven 689cc CP2 Engine

At the heart of the MT-07 is the 689cc, liquid-cooled, inline-twin CP2 engine—celebrated for its lively character and torque-rich performance. Updates for 2025 improve midrange power and engine response while preserving the bike’s energetic riding feel.

Revised Chassis & Swingarm

The updated frame design incorporates the engine as a structural component, improving overall rigidity and helping the MT-07 retain its lightweight handling. The redesigned swingarm complements the new suspension setup for increased road feel and better stability.

Smartphone Connectivity via Y-Connect

Pair your phone with Yamaha’s Y-Connect app for access to music, messages, and calls—plus full navigation through Garmin’s StreetCross app, enhancing both commuting and weekend rides.
